چکیده

We describe several principles for designing Actor-Agent Communities (AAC) as collectives of autonomous problem solving entities (software agents and human experts) that self-organize and collaborate at solving complex problems. One of the main distinctive aspects of the AAC is their ability to integrate in a meaningful way the expertise and reasoning of humans with different information processing algorithms performed by software agents, without requiring a unique and complete description of the problem and solution spaces.

Time Design for Building Trust in Communities of Systems and People

Multi-actor systems are most often designed for a purpose, to perform one or more tasks, to achieve one or more goals for human users. Current research on system design focuses primarily on multi-agent system (MAS) functionality, structure and (emergent) behaviour. Very little research focuses on interaction between human users and systems. Trust in multi-actor systems, however, mandates consid...

Effective and Efficient Coordination Strategies for Agile Crisis Response Organizations

Agile crisis response organizations can be seen as actor-agent communities, where artificial coordination strategies are applied to manage activities. This paper provides a classification of artificial coordination strategies, specified in terms of the Rasmussen’s three-level model for supervisory control: skill, rule and knowledge based. Three distinct strategies to artificial coordination bas...

A Practical Dramaturgy for Actors through Theatrical Production Procedures

Dramaturgy, as a creative and critical act dependent on the theoretical and practical knowledge of theater, consists of two parts with Greek roots: Drama (action) and Ourgia (work and operation). Ourgia literally means to practice, act, and in other words process a raw material. Eugenio Barba divides Dramaturgy in to three parts: Actor Dramaturgy, Director Dramaturgy and Audience Dramaturgy. Th...
